Picture
DONATION GUIDELINES
Please read the following guidelines carefully, as our donations policy for fabric, fiber, and supplies has changed. The New England Quilt Museum is now a fiber arts destination and accepts supply donations relating to all fiber arts disciplines, in addition to quilting fabrics, books and supplies.

WE ACCEPT
Fabrics of all kinds, current and vintage - quilting, clothing, home decorating, novelty
Yarn of all kinds - knitting, crochet, weaving, lacemaking
Wool batting for felting and spinning
Sewing and quilting notions
Knitting, crochet, needlework, and other fiber art supplies

To donate books, magazines, or videos, see the library page for donation guidelines.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT
Quilt batting or fiberfill
This may be donated to an organization that assembles quilts or other items for charity. Check out the Creative Kindness Resource List for ideas.
Clothing or bed linens, curtains, mattress pads, etc.
These items can be donated to organizations such as Goodwill, the Salvation Army or other local charity organizations.
Items that have been:
Stored in damp areas, due to our Collections Care Policy.
Exposed to pet hair or cigarette smoke, due to allergy considerations.

Donated supplies are accepted by appointment only. If you would like to donate, please email shop@nequiltmuseum.org or call 978-452-4207 x16.

AFTER YOUR DONATION IS ACCEPTED
When we receive donations, we set aside items that might be appropriate for upcoming classes, workshops, or community partnerships. The rest is packed away for our annual Text & Textile Extravaganza fundraiser. This event is held each April and is a great place for you to find fgibers, fabrics and supplies for your next project - and at great prices! For information about the 2014 Text & Textile Extravaganza, scheduled for Saturday, April 5, click here.
