Every purchase made at the New England Quilt Museum Store supports the work of the museum and our ongoing efforts to be a showplace for antique and contemporary quilts. We have an ever-growing collection of sewing-related items to inspire quilters and fine crafts and jewelry for those who may not quilt, but love beautiful things. If you are looking for an unusual gift, please visit us! Museum admission is not required to shop in our store and museum members receive a 10% discount on their purchases.
Every year, Marcus Fabrics produces quilting cottons reproduced from textiles in the Museum's permanent collection, or which have been exhibited at the Museum. The two current collections, Regency III and American Pastimes, serve as outstanding examples of the diversity of works shown in the Museum's exhibitions. Regency III captures the elegance of a mid-19th century quilt and bed hanging, while American Pastimes celebrates baseball with early 20th century prints in red, white, and blue. This collection serves as the inspiration for our celebrated Red Sox raffle quilt. Fabrics are produced in limited quantities, so come in soon before this year's crop of authorized NEQM textile reproductions is gone!
The Museum shop features an extensive selection of international quilting magazines, with titles from New Zealand, Japan, Australia, Ireland, and more, as well as hard-to-find quilting and fiber arts titles from around the US. Come in and get up to date on quilting from around the world!

We continue to have one of the best inventories of Japanese fabrics and Sashiko supplies in the area. Sashiko is a very old form of hand-sewing using a simple running stitch in repeating or interlocking patterns. Sashiko is easy to do and creates striking graphic patterns which suit both traditional and contemporary tastes. We have been selling lots of the stamped squares ($6.50) recently. Combined with a skein of Sashiko thread ($3.00) and tucked into a plastic bag, it makes a great airport project during this busy travel season. It also is an interesting way to introduce hand-sewing skills to an older child or teenager.
